  • Patent number: 5115746
Abstract: A transverse guide roller for track-guidable buses effectively prevents the access water to the rotational bearing of such rollers housed rotatably in a horizontal plane. To this end, the rotational bearing is accommodated in a bearing bell which covers the rolling bearing arrangement in a protective and sealing manner. The wheel body has essentially the shape of a cup with an upwardly pointing opening and with a bearing journal projecting from the cup bottom. The rolling bearing is fixed on the bearing journal with the inner ring as a rotating rolling bearing ring. The cup bottom has, at its lowest point, several discharge orifices for the unhindered discharge of water which may have penetrated.

  • Patent number: 4888454
Abstract: The invention relates to a ground-level multipole current supply system for track-guidable, rubber-tired, electrically propulsive vehicles, wherein extruded aluminum profiles are provided within an electrically insulating duct-like shielding for each pole. To permit the current supply system to be kept small and easily installable the shielding is constructed as a self-supporting extruded profile which is fastened, suspended with ducts open downwards, on support arms. The substantially triangular live rails are retained screwlessly by sliding axially behind beads in the shielding. A vee-shaped arrangement of the contact tracks of the two live rails and of the two contact pieces on the current collector side exerts a self-centering influence upon the current collector head, so that the latter can be of simple construction and only little play need be provided for relative movements between current collector head and live rails.

  • Patent number: 4820168
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrically conductive connection between abutting single sections of conductor rails. This connection is made by means of a current conduction cable consisting of bunched conductors and contact shoes. However, in order to be able to accommodate the current conduction cable within the cross-sectional contour of the conductor rails, the cable shoes are in each case constructed in the form of a cylindrical or prismatic connector pin which can be inserted into an opening of corresponding shape within the conductor rail. In most cases, such openings exist in any case in the conductor rails after these have been produced as a hollow section in an extrusion process. The connector pins are suitably of hollow construction and accommodate in their interior the bunched conductor which is only loosely enclosed by it. As a result, the bunched conductor can open out as a result of compression during a relative longitudinal movement of the connector pins.
