  • Publication number: 20140076211
Abstract: A burner is provided for gasifying powdered fuel with a free oxygen-containing oxidant at temperatures up to 1900° C. and pressures up to 10 MPa. The burner includes a powder burner part having an oxidant channel and a powdered fuel channel, and a central pilot burner part. An annular channel for the outflow of an inert medium is arranged at the burner mouth between the pilot burner part and the powder burner part.

  • Publication number: 20090038223
Abstract: A fly-stream gasification device for a process that employs powdery or liquid fuels—where liquid fuels are to be understood as oils, or oils containing solids, and water or oil suspensions containing fuels ground to the consistency of dust or inorganic additives—at pressures of between ambient pressure and 8 MPa and gasification temperatures of between 1,200 and 1,900° C., and which has a gasification means containing free oxygen, comprising a gasification chamber, a quenching device, and an element that belongs to the crude gas tract and ducts the crude gas, is embodied in such a way that an element ducting crude gas is made of heat-resistant carbon steel and furnished on surfaces in contact with the crude gas with an anti-stick layer able to withstand a temperature of 250° C. for preventing the carbonates that form from sticking.

  • Publication number: 20070079554
Abstract: A method and device for the gasification of pulverized fuels from solid fuels such as bituminous coals, lignite coals, and their cokes, petroleum cokes, coke from peat or biomass, in entrained flow, with an oxidizing medium containing free oxygen, by partial oxidation at pressures between atmospheric pressure and 80 bar, and at temperatures between 1,200 and 1,900° C., at high reactor capacities between 1,000 and 1,500 MW. The method uses the following steps: metering of the fuel, gasification reaction in a gasification reactor with cooled reaction chamber contour, quench-cooling, crude gas scrubbing, and partial condensation.

  • Patent number: 6843814
Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for utilizing fuels, residues and waste by gasification in a free-flowing stream under normal or increased pressure at temperatures higher than 900° C., preferably between 1100 and 1600° C., with a gasifying medium containing free oxygen, in which the fuels, residues and waste are completely vaporized by the direct or indirect supply of heat and then fed in vapor form to a gasification reactor.

  • Publication number: 20020157312
Abstract: A reactor for the gasification of carbon-containing fuels, residues and waste by an oxygen-containing oxidizing agent in a reaction space designed as a fly stream reactor, at pressures of between ambient pressure and 80 bar, preferably between ambient pressure and 30 bar, the reaction space contour being delimited by a refractory lining within a pressure casing, wherein the temperature of the pressure casing can be regulated, the pressure casing having cooling ducts affixed to an outer surface thereof.

  • Publication number: 20020031467
Abstract: A method for gasification of halogen containing remainders and waste materials is provided including obtaining a reactant including halogen containing remainders and/or halogen containing waste, and where necessary an additional combustible. The reactant has a heat value of greater than 6 MJ/kg and is reacted with a gasification agent containing free oxygen into a crude gas using a flame reaction at a pressure in excess of ambient pressure to a final temperature of at least 1100° C. The crude gas contains carbon monoxide, hydrogen-containing gas and/or halogen/hydrogen containing gas. The crude gas can then be cooled and further processed.

  • Patent number: 4745397
Abstract: A remote control device for the joint or successive remote control of radio receivers, record players, tape recorders, television receivers and the like comprises a body having a plurality of control buttons for the items of equipment to be remotely controlled. The device further has a plurality of superimposed drop sheets each of which is associated with a specific item of equipment or function type. With the aid of a flap which is pivotally mounted on the body and a gripper provided on the flap, it is possible to raise the drop sheets, so that only that particular sheet required for the desired function type is present on the device. The drop sheets have openings through which the operating buttons can project. In the vicinity of these operating buttons a reference to a specific function is provided on each drop sheet.
