Patent number: 11190003Abstract: A method for controlling a charging apparatus of a vehicle, in particular an electric or hybrid vehicle, wherein the charging apparatus has a charging device including a protection and monitoring device. The vehicle includes a high-voltage on-board power system and an electrical energy storage apparatus connected to the high-voltage on-board power system. The method includes electrically connecting the high-voltage on-board power system to charging connections of an energy supply system by the charging apparatus. The charging connections include a neutral conductor, a protective conductor and at least one phase conductor. A protective conductor resistance is detected between the neutral conductor and the protective conductor by feeding in a test current by the protection and monitoring device. A frequency of the test current is filtered out of the compensation frequency range on a narrowband basis.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2019Date of Patent: November 30, 2021Inventors: Tim Pfizenmaier, Daniel Spesser, Michael Kammer, Florian Habel, Eckhard Broeckmann, Frank Mehling, Michael Guenther Zeyen, Wolfgang Hofheinz, Guenter Uhl, Dietmar Bytzek, Juergen Hetzler, Stefan Zeltner, Stefan Endres, Christoph Sessler

Patent number: 10555378Abstract: A vehicle heater comprises a main body carrying a non-intrinsically safe heat conductor layer, and a sensor device allocated to the heat conductor layer and provided to detect an exceedance of a temperature threshold value. The sensor device comprises a sensor layer arranged on the side of the heat conductor layer facing away from the main body which is monitored for current flows which may occur substantially in the direction of its surface normal. In a method for producing a vehicle heater a main body of the vehicle heater is equipped with a non-intrinsically safe heat conductor, and a sensor device for detecting exceedances of a temperature threshold value. A sensor layer provided to be monitored for current flows which may occur substantially in the direction of the surface normal of the sensor layer is allocated to the heat conductor layer on its side facing away from the main body to form the sensor device.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2013Date of Patent: February 4, 2020Assignee: WEBASTO SEInventors: Dietmar Bytzek, Thorsten Kabelitz, Karl Goettl, Daniel Eckert

Patent number: 10112457Abstract: In a method for producing a vehicle heater (10), a main body (12) of the vehicle heater (10) is equipped with a non-intrinsically safe heat conductor layer (14), and a sensor device (16, 18, 20) for detecting exceedances of a temperature threshold value. To form the sensor device (16, 18, 20) a sensor layer (16) is sprayed on without the main body (12) being exposed to temperatures normal for baking processes. A vehicle heater (10) is equipped with a main body (12) carrying a non-intrinsically safe heat conductor layer (14), and with a sensor device (16, 18, 20) allocated to the heat conductor layer (14) and provided to detect the exceedance of a temperature threshold value. The sensor device (16, 18, 20) comprises a sprayed-on sensor layer (16) produced without the main body (12) assuming temperatures that are normal for baking processes.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2013Date of Patent: October 30, 2018Assignee: Webasto SEInventors: Dietmar Bytzek, Thorsten Kabelitz, Karl Goettl, Daniel Eckert
