Abstract: The invention relates to an anti-skid chain with a travelling net, held by an inner and outer holding device. The outer holding device is designed as a flat disk (8), at least in the area of the tire flank. Furthermore, the outer holding device has means for accomodating a tension rod (3) for the inner holding device outside the wheel flanks.

Abstract: In the case of an anti-slip chain, possessing an inner and outer holding device (4,5) which holds a chain-net, a tensioning chain-strand (7) runs from the inner holding device (4), over the tread of the tire, to the outer holding device (5). In order to guarantee that the tensioning chain-strand (7) is correctly guided in the region of the tread of the tire, the said strand is led through a sliding sleeve (9,11) which is located at the end of a track piece (3) and is comparatively long.

Abstract: A tire chain with separable chain strands the end links of which are connectable at each separation point by use of two connecting elements which can be hooked into each other and which are each safely connected with an end link, wherein each connecting element has a body comprising at least one portion bounding an insertion slot which portion has a cross-section decreased at its free end at the expense of its width and wherein the width of the insertion slot is smaller than the height of each of those portions of the body which bound the insertion slot.
