  • Patent number: 6892602
Abstract: A device for fastening a casing tube switch module to a casing tube of a steering wheel shaft when a steering wheel is mounted on the steering shaft. The device including a clamping element and a bearing. The clamping element is arranged coaxially between the casing tube and the switch module. The clamping element exerts a clamping force in a direction extending radially out from the steering shaft. The bearing rotationally decouples the steering wheel from the switch module. The bearing has a stator operable for transferring an axial motion of the steering wheel as the steering wheel is mounted on the steering shaft to the switch module such that the switch module moves axially with respect to the casing tube toward the clamping element and tensions the clamping element to apply the clamping force to fasten the switch module to the casing tube.

  • Patent number: 5791703
Abstract: An actuating assembly for a motor-vehicle door latch has a handle extending longitudinally on an outside of the panel and having one end coupled to the latch and another end projecting through the panel and provided with a fork having a longitudinally open seat. A backing plate on an inside of the panel is provided with a transversely extending pivot bar engaged in the seat of the fork. The handle is pivotal about an axis of the bar between a rest position relatively close to the door and an outer actuated position pulled out from the door. Interengaging formations on the bar and in the seat block longitudinal displacement of the handle relative to the backing plate except in the rest position of the handle so that when the handle is moved to or beyond the outer actuated position the formations prevent removal of the handle from the door.

  • Patent number: 5752346
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door has generally upright inside and outside panels, a window frame above the panels, a track extending vertically between the panels into the frame, and a window glass vertically displaceable in the track between the panels. A latch assembly has a holder, an outside door handle in the holder, a door latch on an edge of the door between the panels, a connecting housing between the panels and having a U-section lower part fixed to the door latch and an upper part fixed to and carrying the holder for the outside handle with the handle on the outside door panel, and a link rod extending between the outside door handle and the door latch and laterally enclosed by the U-section lower part.

  • Patent number: 5725262
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door latch mounted on a door has a vertically displaceable actuating element serving to open the latch. An actuating system for the latch has a handle, a mounting plate supporting the handle on the door above the latch, and a pivot on the mounting plate for horizontal movement of the handle on the plate between an unactuated position generally flush with the door and an actuated position spaced horizontally outward from the door. A coupling lever pivoted on the door about a horizontal axis has one arm connected to the handle and another arm. A link extends vertically between the other arm and the actuating element so that when the handle is displaced horizontally into the actuated position the lever is pivoted and the link is displaced vertically.
