  • Patent number: 10851749
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-pressure pump (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, for conveying a fluid, in particular fuel, e.g. diesel fuel, comprising a drive shaft having at least one cam, at least one piston, at least one cylinder (6) for mounting the at least one cam, wherein the at least one piston is supported on the drive shaft by the at least one cam, so that a translational motion can be carried out by the at least one cam as a result of a rotary motion of the drive shaft, at least one cover cap (8), which is attached indirectly or directly to the outside of the cylinder (6), wherein one end (18) of the at least one cover cap (8) rests on a projection (16) of the remaining high-pressure pump (1) for the interlocking attachment of the end (18) of the cover cap (8) to the projection (16).

  • Patent number: 10309359
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-pressure fuel pump (1), in particular of a common rail injection system of an internal combustion engine, having a pump cylinder head (3), having an intake valve (6) arranged in the pump cylinder head (3) in the direction of a pump cylinder axis, and a high-pressure fuel outlet (5) arranged laterally on the pump cylinder head (3), wherein a protective cap (10, 10a) at least partly covering the high-pressure fuel pump (1) is provided. According to the invention, a high-pressure fuel pump (1) having a protective cap (10, 10a) is provided, in which the protective cap (10, 10a) can be mounted without difficulty on an assembled high-pressure fuel pump (1).

  • Patent number: 7780144
Abstract: A valve having a valve member, which cooperates with a valve seat formed in a housing part in order to control a connection, and the valve seat has an at least approximately conical seat face, which is located at a transition of the connection from a portion of small diameter to a portion of large diameter. The seat face is adjoined, on its side oriented toward the portion of large diameter, by at least one face which is more markedly inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the connection than the seat face, and on its side oriented toward the portion of small diameter, the seat face is adjoined by at least one face which is less markedly inclined relative to the longitudinal axis of the connection than the seat face.

  • Publication number: 20030136384
Abstract: A fuel injection system has a feed pump by which fuel is supplied to a high-pressure pump which pumps fuel into a reservoir as a function of engine operating parameters. The system has a fuel metering device for adjusting the fuel quantity pumped by the high-pressure pump, the metering device having an actuator controlling a regulating valve having a slide-shaped valve member guided in a cylindrical bore of a valve housing and displaceable by the actuator counter to a restoring force. An outer jacket of the valve member in cooperation with an outlet from the cylindrical bore controls a flow cross section from the feed pump to the high-pressure pump. The valve member controlls an inlet opening, originating at the feed pump and discharging into the cylindrical bore, and in one position closes the inlet opening completely.
