  • Patent number: 11516696
Abstract: A method for data exchange between a user equipment and a network node over a bearer service in a communication system. A virtual access network identifier identifies a connectionless bearer service on which a network service is mapped. A logical channel identifier identifies a connection oriented bearer service on which the network service is mapped. The data is exchanged between the user equipment and the network node over the connection oriented bearer service or over the connectionless bearer service depending on the amount of exchanged data and/or the data bit rate and/or the expiration of a timer.

  • Patent number: 10568008
Abstract: The invention relates to a terminal (10) for a cellular communications network (1000). The terminal is configured to maintain a first set (S1) of at least n radio cells, wherein n is equal to or greater than three, wherein a quality measure (q) value of each of the n radio cells, which depends on a received signal power associated with reference signals transmitted in said cells and received by said terminal (10), exceeds a threshold. The terminal further determines whether a quality measure value of a further radio cell, which is not comprised in the first set, exceeds the quality measure value of the radio cell comprised in the first set with the m-th best quality measure value, m ranging from 1 to n?1, by a predetermined amount. If the quality measure value of the further radio cell (c12) exceeds the quality measure value of the m-th best radio cell, modification of the first set is arranged, whereby a second set (S2) is obtained. The second set comprises the further radio cell.

  • Publication number: 20170374696
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for establishing a connectionless bearer service and a method for forwarding data packets in a connectionless bearer service. The data packet has a virtual access network identifier in the header data. The virtual access network identifier defines a unique data path from a source to a destination of the data packet and vice versa. The invention further relates to a network node for forwarding data packets based on a virtual access network identifier received with the data packets and by using a forwarding table for forwarding the data packets.

  • Patent number: 8774099
Abstract: A method for allocating HS-DSCH channelization codes in WCDMA based wireless communication system using HSDPA in which a total number of N HS-DSCH channelization codes are available. M<N HS-DSCH channelization codes are allocated upon request by a RNC such that a node B can service UE's. The node B identifies which of the HS-DSCH channelization codes are currently unused for transmissions and autonomously allocates at least one of the unused HS-DSCH channelization codes for servicing UE's.

  • Patent number: 8300624
Abstract: The invention provides a signalling method in a first base station of a mobile communications system adapted for synchronized multimedia broadcast/multicast transmissions, the first base station transmitting to a wireless terminal, the mobile communication system further comprising a set of base stations neighboring the first base station, the method comprising: transmitting a signal describing the set of base stations over a broadcast channel by the first base station to at least a wireless terminal. Further, a first bit of the signal indicates if a first subframe allocation pattern of synchronized subframes per radio frame in the first base station equals a second subframe allocation pattern of synchronized subframes per radio frame for all base stations of the set of base stations.
