    Abstract: A cloud imaging system monitors a condition of a portion of the sky. A lens defines a focal plane upon which the portion of the sky is directly mapped. An infrared sensor is disposed in the focal plane of the lens. The infrared sensor outputs data representative of the monitored portion of the sky. The data is interpreted to discover the condition of the monitored portion of the sky.
