  • Publication number: 20130103125
Abstract: The invention discloses a device composed of PCM and of an actively cooling heat-exchanger system whose use in humans and animals reliably solves the previous problem of temperature build-up. The system can be configured in any strength, that is to say ranging from integration in flexible stockings to integration in orthosis stumps. This results in the extremely varied areas of application of the described technology, which range from PCMs in the form of modules in coolant channels or in the form of PCM-containing compounds, from which hoses are produced in which coolant can flow, to PCMs with heat exchangers that remove the built-up heat of the body.

  • Publication number: 20040079515
Abstract: Latent heat accumulator body with an outer shell body comprising of a hard plastic or elastomer, in particular a thermoplastic elastomer, which is processable by injection techniques and a filling comprising latent heat accumulator material which is located in the interior of the shell body and has a working temperature range covering a temperature span ranging from below to above phase change temperature, wherein the latent heat accumulator material is a gelatinous or solid mass in the working temperature range, independently of the temperature, and is introduced into the interior of the shell body by a two-component injection method.

  • Publication number: 20040038606
Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-layered textile isolating material, such as isolating tissue or isolating woven material. The aim of the invention is to improve said isolating material, in particular with regard to thermal applications, whereby particles of latent heat storage material are arranged between the layers and said latent heat storage material is paraffin with an added thickener such as Kraton G.
