  • Patent number: 11260440
Abstract: A caterpillar-traction drawing machine and a method for drawing of elongated workpieces can be provided with at least one drawing tool fastened pivotally on a tool holder and/or with at least two identical drawing recesses, which can be brought selectively into a drawing position, so that the influence of any fatigue phenomena that may exist is minimized. For the same reason, a caterpillar-traction drawing machine is advantageous in which the two chains of the caterpillar-traction unit are block chains and are respectively braced via an idler roller chain including idler rollers on respectively one pressing beam.

  • Patent number: 11111101
Abstract: In order to increase the operational safety of an unreeling apparatus and an unreeling method at high working speed, an unreeling apparatus for unreeling a ring of wire along a pull-off direction, having at least two reel crowns, which can each be brought into a pull-off position and into a preparation position and/or loading position by way of a displacement device, includes a safety apparatus having an overload safety device and having a safety guide track, which has a directional component that faces in the pull-off direction and acts independently of the other reel crown, at least for the reel crown situated in the pull-off position, wherein the overload safety device holds the reel crown situated in the pull-off position in the pull-off position and, in the event of an overload, releases the reel crown situated in the pull-off position into the safety guide track.

  • Patent number: 6450386
Abstract: A chain drawing machine for continuous drawing of drawing stock made of metal and the like, in particular rod-shaped and tubular drawing stock, includes at least two drive chains associated with a common drawing path. Each of the drive chains has connected drawing members, with the drawing members having on one side a clamping shoe that can be pressed against the drawing stock, and on the other side a sliding surface. The drawing members are supported on a fixed roller guide that is associated with each driving chain, and on the sliding surface by rotating load-bearing idler rollers. At least one relief recess divides a respective roller guide into several guide paths; and at least one relief recess divides a respective sliding surface into several sliding paths. This arrangement, in conjunction with a circumferential taper in the idler rollers extending across the entire sliding surface, elastically supports the drive chains which increases of the load-bearing capacity of the machine.
