  • Patent number: 11936376
Abstract: A method for operating at least one optoelectronic button or operating element arranged behind an optically transparent control panel of a field device of automation technology for detecting an actuation of the optoelectronic button or operating element by an operator of the field device includes detecting whether the field device of automation technology is located in an interior area or in an exterior area; defining an evaluation condition which is used to detect the actuation of the optical button or control element; and detecting or evaluating whether an actuation of the optoelectronic button or control element is present based on the defined evaluation condition.

  • Patent number: 9442477
Abstract: An automation technology, autarkic, field device, which is connected via two connecting terminals to an I/O module. The I/O module is embodied as a 4-20 mA/HART I/O module. The I/O module is associated with a controllable energy source via which the field device is supplied with energy. An electrical current measuring unit is provided which ascertains the electrical current supplied by the energy source. In the I/O module, internal resistors are provided, across which occurs in each case a voltage drop dependent on the flowing electrical current. A control unit is provided, which operates the energy source in such a way that a predetermined terminal voltage is supplied on the connecting terminals for powering the field device.

  • Publication number: 20060031626
Abstract: In an automation technology field device having a microprocessor P and a non-volatile, writable data memory NVM for storing parameter values, the data memory having a predetermined maximum number WAmax of write accesses per memory location ML, a counter C is provided for counting write accesses WA to the data memory NVM. Additionally, a memory management unit MMU is provided, which evaluates the reading of the counter C, and prevents an exceeding of the maximum number WAmax of write accesses to a memory location ML.
