Abstract: A toilet paper dispenser for use in connection with conventional mounting brackets. The dispenser includes a U-shaped bracket having mounting points extending horizontally outwardly from each end which are configured to engage conventional toilet paper dispenser mounting brackets. Extending upwardly from the base portion of the U-shaped bracket is a cylindrical spindle configured to engage a hollow cylindrical toilet paper roll. During use, the mounting brackets are engaged in conventional mounting brackets so that the center of gravity of the dispenser lies below the horizontal plane of the mounting brackets. The hollow tube of a toilet paper roll is inserted over the spindle so that the toilet paper roll is oriented vertically with respect to the mounting brackets.
