  • Patent number: 11626003
Abstract: The disclosed technology can include a system for monitoring and detecting a fault in a fluid storage tank. A sensor can be located in, on, or proximate the fluid storage tank and can be configured to detect waveforms produced by the fluid storage tank in response to strain. The sensor can convert such waveforms into electrical signals and transmit such electrical signals in the form of vibration data to a controller. The controller can compare the vibration data to stored data, and based on such comparison, determine if a fault is present in the fluid storage tank.

  • Publication number: 20220316823
Abstract: Disclosed herein are heat exchanger devices comprising an outer shell defining an interior chamber that is configured to pass a heat transfer fluid therethrough, a tube at least partially disposed within the interior chamber and in thermal communication with the heat transfer fluid, the tube being connected to a pool and configured to flow water from the pool therethrough such that the water flowing through the tube exchanges heat with the heat transfer fluid, and a coating disposed on an interior surface of the tube contacting the water from the pool, the coating comprising Nickel. The coating can comprise an additive, such as an electroless Nickel coating. The coating can also be selected from the group consisting of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Boron Nitride (BN), Silicon Carbide (SiC), aluminum oxide (Al2O3), carbon (C), and carbon allotropes.

  • Publication number: 20220163219
Abstract: A condenser assembly is disclosed. The condenser assembly can include a condenser coil having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion can be configured to fluidly communicate with a first refrigerant line of a heat pump, and the first portion can have a plurality of windings defining an internal volume. The second portion can be configured to fluidly communicate with a second refrigerant line of the heat pump. The condenser coil can be configured to at least partially insert into an internal volume of a water heater tank.

  • Patent number: 10281143
Abstract: A fuel-fired heating appliance comprises a burner and a first housing adjacent the burner so that an interior of the first housing receives combustion gasses from combustion at the burner. A heat exchanger defines a second housing with an inlet proximate an outlet of the first housing so that the inlet of the second housing receives combustion gasses from the outlet of the first housing, and wherein the first and second housings attach at an interface. A barrier extends within, and across an interface between, the outlet of the first housing and the inlet of the second housing and defines a thermal resistance that inhibits heat transfer from the combustion gasses to the interface.
