  • Publication number: 20130192009
Abstract: A device for coupling a cleaning implement to a floor cleaning machine. The coupling device includes a channel to slidably receive a portion of the cleaning implement to install and remove the cleaning implement, and one of a projection and a recess to releasably couple with the other of a recess and a projection on the cleaning implement when the portion of the cleaning implement is received within the channel. The portion of the cleaning implement is slidable within the channel free of engagement between the projection and the recess, and the cleaning implement is slidable to and from a position along the channel in which the projection and the recess are substantially aligned with one another. The cleaning implement is further movable while in the position to and from a state in which the projection and the recess are engaged with each other.

  • Publication number: 20130186914
Abstract: A dispensing system for dispensing material from a container having an opening secured by a cap through which material from the container is dispensed. The dispensing system comprises a dispenser defining a receptacle shaped to receive the container and a retainer releasably engagable with the cap, wherein the retainer is engagable with the cap via a releasable and resiliently deformable connection providing resistance against withdrawal of the container from the receptacle. In some embodiments, an aperture defined in the retainer is shaped and dimensioned to receive a portion of the cap. In some embodiments, a portion of the retainer is resiliently deformable, and at least partially defines the resiliently deformable connection. In some embodiments, the portion of the retainer is a protrusion extending in a direction toward the receptacle. In some embodiments, the releasable and resiliently deformable connection provides a snap fit engagement between the retainer and the cap.

  • Publication number: 20130149020
Abstract: A floor finish applicator including a cart having wheels and a body member constructed and arranged to receive a source of floor finish. The floor finish applicator also includes a pump coupled to the cart and operable to deliver floor finish to a floor, a floor finish feed conduit in fluid communication between the pump and a container supporting floor finish, and a transmission assembly coupled to the cart. The floor finish feed conduit supplies floor finish to the pump. The transmission assembly includes an axle coupled to and driven by a wheel of the cart, a drive gear connected to the axle, a drive shaft having a driven gear for engaging the drive gear and driving the pump, and a hand-actuated spring-loaded clutch for selective engagement of the pump and the drive shaft with the axle.

  • Publication number: 20130074875
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of washing ware, in particular in an automatic domestic or institutional ware washing machine, using a detergent composition containing a cationic starch. This eliminates the need for a surfactant in the rinse step. The cationic starch provides a layer of cationic starch on the ware so as to afford a sheeting action in an aqueous rinse step without any added rinse agent.
