  • Publication number: 20130310855
Abstract: A machine constructed and configured for automatic continuous suturing for reduced or minimized scarring and reduced suturing time, including methods of using the same. A device for continuous suturing. A variety of needles designed and constructed for suturing and more particularly for use with a machine operable for continuous suturing for reduced or minimized scarring and reducing the suturing time. Suture stitches by the same device. A device, method and suture for subcuticular suturing.

  • Patent number: 8465504
Abstract: A machine, and method of using, constructed and configured for automatic continuous suturing for reduced or minimized scarring and reduced suturing time, including a helical shaped needle, a hook, and a holding arm. The needle is used to provide for substantially planar stitching adjoining edges side by side. The hook is used to manipulate the stitching in automatic coordination with the needle so as to allow for continuous stitching. The holding arm is used in automatic coordination with the hook. The coordination and synchronization of these components provide for continuous planar stitches which adjoin edges side by side.

  • Patent number: 6439096
Abstract: A machine for producing complex-shaped, three-dimensional engineered fiber preforms having unitary, integral and seamless structures and, a method for making the preforms on the machine, and preforms produced thereby. The integral design and structure of the preform is formed by a combination of interlacing and non-interlacing fiber systems that permits variable cross-sectional area and dimensions from a first end to a second end along an axis via selective activation and control of at least one module, preferably a plurality of moduli connected to each other in any desirable configuration.

  • Patent number: 6345598
Abstract: A three-dimensional engineered fiber preform having a unitary, integral and seamless structure and rigid composite structure made therefrom for use as a mechanical component, particularly for use as a valve, and method for making the preform. The integral design and structure of the preform is formed by a combination of interlacing and non-interlacing fiber systems that permits variable cross-sectional area and dimensions from a first end to a second end along an axis, or from a stem end to a head end of a valve.
