The apparatus comprises a) means for receiving a patient-specific value of a least one parameter; b) means for generating a profile for the patient based on the patient-specific value; and c) means for determining a setting of at least one operating parameter of the medical device based on a comparison of the profile for the patient with stored profiles of the patient and/or of other patients in a storage medium, each stored profile comprising a stored setting of the at least one operating parameter and a stored patient-specific value of the at least one parameter.

An apparatus comprises a) means for receiving a patient-specific value of at least one parameter; b) means for generating a profile for the patient based at least in part on the patient-specific value; c) means for selecting a stored profile out of one or more stored profiles of the patient and/or of other patients in a storage medium, the selecting based on a comparison of the stored profile and the generated profile for the patient, wherein the stored profile comprises a stored feedback and a stored patient-specific value of the at least one parameter; and d) means for providing feedback to patient based on the stored feedback.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for protecting sensitive personal data held in a public storage, comprising a trusted tokenization system having at least one trusted interface to an instance that may provide, process, possess, and/or retrieve sensitive personal data, and at least one interface to a public storage not containing sensitive personal data, wherein the tokenization system is configured to replace a sensitive personal reference of the data in the public storage with a non-sensitive data element and to store an association between the sensitive personal reference and the non-sensitive data element in a secure environment, wherein the non-sensitive data element is generated in a user-specific manner such that the non-sensitive data element can be processed in an existing infrastructure of a user without adaptation of said infrastructure.
