    Abstract: A testing apparatus and a testing method for a sensor, in particular a sensor having a PT2 behavior. Provision is made to alternately excite the sensor with an excitation signal and then read the sensor. By varying the ratio of the time periods between the excitation and reading of the sensor, characteristic properties of the sensor, such as damping behavior, frequency response or the like, may be ascertained.
