  • Patent number: 7965684
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method and system for effecting CDMA handoff transitions. In an embodiment, a converter is provided that converts a conventional CDMA trigger signal at a first frequency into the same handoff trigger signal but at second frequency. Where a subscriber station is operating in a coverage area at the second frequency, the received CDMA re-direction signal can be used to trigger the handoff of the subscriber station from the second frequency to the first frequency.

  • Publication number: 20090049527
Abstract: A method is provided to exchange data reserved for a user or a group of users with personal equipment. The method includes a step of short-distance communication of the data, for example of the NFC type, between the personal equipment and a secure terminal determined by an identification of the user and by a detection of the personal equipment in the vicinity of the secure terminal. The secure terminal preferably obtains the data from an integrated source by a secure end-to-end connection.

  • Publication number: 20080110380
Abstract: A furnace comprising a housing defining a combustion chamber therein, a burner in the housing, the burner comprising a body defining a burning zone, a fuel feeder in communication with the burning zone adapted to feed a renewable fuel source therein, an air supplier in fluid flow communication with the burning zone for supplying oxygen for fuel combustion, a cooling jacket integrated in the body and cooling the burning zone independently of the air supplier, the burner being operable to release hot combustion gases into the combustion chamber, and a heat exchanger in the housing capturing heat from the hot combustion gases and transferring the heat to another medium.

  • Patent number: 6297789
Abstract: An integrated circuit card contains a liquid crystal display for displaying at least a portion of the information stored therein. The displayed information is stored in a first, or reserved, memory. A second, or additional, memory is used to store further information. The use of a reserved memory for storing the displayed information permits the use of very low power electrical energy sources for driving the display and the electronics controlling the pixels of the display, such as piezoelectric sources, pyroelectric sources, photovoltaic cells, and very small batteries. The first and second memories may be integrated into a single IC chip, or they may be separate components.

  • Patent number: 5025207
Abstract: The disclosure concerns automatic measuring stands. The automatic measurement of the amplitude of an intermodulation line at the output of a TV transmitter is difficult to achieve because this line is often drowned in a cloud of noise formed by the spectra of lines due to the numerous frequencies of the line frequency. The standard way to make the measurement is to do a visual interpretation. When the measurement is done automatically, this visual interpretation is not possible. The method according to the invention uses the a priori knowledge of the existence of a steady level at the peak of the line to be measured.
