Abstract: A data exchange system and method for creating a virtual channel are presented. The data exchange system comprises at least one content provider, at least one content receiver, and a communication platform for connecting the at least one content provider to the at least one content receiver. The communication platform is configured to create a virtual channel for transmitting data between a content provider and a content receiver in response to the content receiver satisfying predefined authentication conditions of the content provider, wherein the virtual channel specifies at least a part of the data to transmit.

Abstract: A method of providing access to auxiliary data for a provider subsystem includes: storing offer data corresponding to an item, the offer data including (i) primary data, and (ii) auxiliary data defining an adjustment between the primary data and corresponding published data stored at an external repository; storing the offer data in an auxiliary repository; in response to an order request from a client subsystem: obtaining an order identifier corresponding to the offer data; and updating the auxiliary repository to store the order identifier in association with the offer data; in response to obtaining the order identifier, generating a reporting message for transmission to a provider subsystem, the reporting message containing the primary data and omitting the auxiliary data; and subsequent to generating the reporting message, retrieving the offer data from the auxiliary repository, and sending at least the auxiliary data to the provider subsystem.

Abstract: To differentially respond to data requests, a request handling server stores (i) a predefined set of response definitions, each response definition having a distinct assigned virtual requester identifier, and (ii) for each virtual requester identifier, a selection criterion. The server receives a data request associated with one of a plurality of requesters, and includes (i) request parameters and (ii) a requester attribute set. The data request may be a request for travel product offers formatted according to the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard. The server compares the requester attribute set with the selection criteria; based on the comparison, assigns a selected one of the virtual requester identifiers to the data request; retrieves an active one of the response definitions corresponding to the selected virtual requester identifier; obtains response data according to the request parameters and the active response definition; and transmits, in response to the data request, the response data.

For example, a method for processing search queries in the distributed database system is provided. The method includes receiving, at a meta-search server, a first search query from a client; retrieving, from a plurality of service providing servers, search results matching the first search query; storing the search results associated with corresponding unique identifiers in a search result database; and returning, by the meta-search server, the search results to the client.

Abstract: A prefabricated open-ended fireplace box for use in fireplace assemblies is molded from a slurry of refractory ceramic fibers and a non-organic binder. The prefabricated fireplace box is preferably formed in or over a mold which provides an accurate shape to the green or semi-rigid open end box which must be dried or partially fired while on the mold to avoid warping or distortion while being removed from the mold. A rigid surround trim in the form of a C-shape is placed in or on the mold at the open ends of the fireplace box. At least one attachment flange of the surround trim is integrally molded into walls of the fireplace box so that at least the open end of the semi-rigid fireplace box is made rigid when removed from the mold.

According to the invention, each of said injection elements comprises a central injection channel fed with a second propellant and an annular injection slot surrounding said central channel and fed with a first propellant, an additional annular injection channel for the second propellant being formed by a space that exists around each injection element between its side wall and said injection wall, such that the sheet of first propellant flowing from said annular slot is engaged between the central jet and the outer sheet, each of which delivers the second propellant.
