  • Patent number: 4951432
Abstract: A folding building structure has a fixed roof formed by joining a plurality of identical triangles which have two equal side edges, a base edge and an apex opposite the base edge. All these apexes meet at a common point. To each roof base edge is hingedly joined the coextensive base edge of a wall triangle having two equal side edges. Each side edge of a wall triangle has hingedly joined thereto the hypotenuse edge of a right triangular wall panel. Each right triangular wall panel has a side edge equal to the height of the wall triangles having two equal side edges, and adjacent side edges of the right triangular wall panels are hingedly joined.

  • Patent number: 4665665
Abstract: A building structure is formed using four by eight foot plywood panels as raw material because of their ready availability. Hexagonal pyramids are formed by first cutting a panel diagonally to form two right triangles. These two right triangles are joined to form a triangular section having a height equal to its base. Six such sections are joined to form the hexagonal pyramids. Pentagonal pyramids are formed by cutting the panels using the eight foot lengths as the dimension of the hypotenuse. Each panel can produce two triangles and they are combined to form an equilateral triangular section. Five of these sections are combined to form each pentagonal pyramid. Reinforcement pyramids are joined in the interior of each pyramid. These are similar to the pyramids they reinforce, but of one half the size. The pyramids are combined using them as substitutes for the plane hexagonal and pentagonal surfaces of regular and semi-regular polyhedrons.

  • Patent number: 4413452
Abstract: A building system formed from a plurality of building panels of triangular shape which are continuously attached on all sides to the earth or other triangular panels thereby defining a rigid panel structure of regular geometric form. Preferably, each panel is formed from two panel sections wherein each section is formed by cutting a stock piece of rigid material, having a known or predetermined length to width dimensional ratio, along its diagonal to form two right triangular panel sections. The dimensions of each triangular panel are equal and in a preferred embodiment, the ratio of the base to the perpendicular height is unity, wherein the panel sections are formed from a stock piece of material having a length to width dimensional ratio of two to one.
