  • Publication number: 20050119373
Abstract: The disclosure relates to using metal acrylate compounds such as zinc diacrylate (ZDA), zinc dimethacrylate (ZDMA), among others for curing epoxy functional (and other cross-linking compounds), and to compositions containing such compounds for use in powder coat, film, adhesive, among other applications. ZDA and ZDMA containing compounds can cure the epoxy component of the compositions while being substantially free of conventional curing agents.

  • Patent number: 6415024
Abstract: It is desirable to be able to recognize data calls so that different charges can be applied to such calls and that vertical services, such as the use of special transmission facilities, may be offered to data callers. This recognition is accomplished by attaching a tone detector to a call in order to detect the special tones characteristic of a data call. Advantageously, this permits different charges to be imposed on data calls.

  • Patent number: 5905785
Abstract: High usage lines in a telecommunications system must be detected to avoid local areas of high call blockage. Such high usage lines are frequently lines that originate or receive data calls. The presence of a data call is detected by testing for a signal, such as a tone, on the call connection after an answer signal has been detected, and testing to see if the duration of the call exceeds some predetermined quantity. Lines which originate or receive data calls exceeding the predetermined quantity are then monitored to measure their usage. Advantageously, many high usage lines can be detected by monitoring only the relatively few lines that originate or receive data calls.

  • Patent number: 5769034
Abstract: A device, system and method permitting on-line explosives-based cleaning and deslagging of a fuel burning facility such as a boiler, furnace, incinerator, or scrubber. A coolant, such as ordinary water, is delivered to the explosives to prevent them from detonating due to the heat of the on-line facility. Thus, controlled, appropriately-timed detonation can be initiated as desired, and boiler scale and slag is removed without the need to shut down or cool down the facility.

  • Patent number: 4048102
Abstract: Menthanediamine, isophorone diamine and the like compounds have been discovered to be an effective substitute for 4,4'-methylenebis(2-chloroaniline) in the preparation of flexible polyurethane foams. This substituted crosslinker is not suspected of being carcinogenic.
