Abstract: A child resistant trigger pump dispenser having an elongated, transversely oriented body member with the pump outlet at one end thereof and a vertically extending lower end section for receiving fluid from a container. The lower end section of the pump is equipped with a rigidly attached closure member having a multiplicity of short threads with projections adjacent their ends on the inner wall of the downwardly depending skirt. The container neck is provided on its outside surface with a multiplicity of long interrupted threads, some having recessed portions on their underside adjacent their terminal ends to receive the projections on the short threads on the closure member skirt portion.

Abstract: A child resistant finger pump dispenser having a vertically oriented body member or tank. The tank has a piston therein with an attached hollow outlet stem extending out of its upper end. An actuator button is attached to the upper end of the stem and has a laterally directed spray nozzle extending from the side of the skirt portion of the actuator. A housing has an upper portion that partially surrounds the actuator button and a lower portion that supports the tank and includes a depending skirt having a multiplicity of short threads with projections adjacent their ends on the inner wall of the downwardly depending skirt. The container neck is provided on its outside surface with a multiplicity of interrupted threads, some having recessed portions on their underside adjacent their terminal ends to receive the projections on the threads on the closure member skirt portion.

Abstract: An actuator assembly for a dispensing device including a cap for engagement with a container neck, the cap having a series of arcuate protuberances therein, an operable dispensing button with a discharge orifice, the button having a series of tabs thereon, a cover piece enclosing the button which exposes a portion of the button for finger engagement, and a guide slot in the cover piece to prevent relative movement between the button and the cover piece. The arcuate protuberances and the tabs cooperate to prevent fluids from being dispensed from the dispensing container until the protuberances and tabs are properly aligned.

Abstract: A child-resistant closure for a container having a threaded cylindrical neck. The container neck is provided with a plurality of outwardly extending ratchet-teeth on its exterior surface below the thread. The cap portion of the closure has a central opening in its top surface that receives the base of the article to be attached to the container neck, e.g. a trigger pump. A collar member is received on the lower end of the closure member and is axially movable thereon. The collar member is provided with a plurality of ratchet-teeth adapted to engage the ratchet-teeth on the neck of the container when the collar is in its lower or down position. The cap has spaced apart splines on its skirt which define recesses that receive inwardly directed lugs provided at the top of the collar. The engagement of the lugs and splines permit the collar to move axially on the cap but prevents separate radial movement between the collar and cap.

Abstract: An accumulative pressure pump that has upper and lower pressure chambers of different diameters, each of which is provided with a piston having a connected stem. Inlet and outlet check valves are provided. The outlet valve opens on accumulation of pressure on the downward stroke of the two pistons. The lower portion of the inner sidewall of the lower chamber is provided with a rib or a recess to permit any air trapped in the two chambers to be expelled through a bottom opening that is provided in the lower chamber. The dip tube is connected directly to the second piston and has its end abutting or adjacent the bottom of the container and is reciprocal with the second piston whereby its lower end moves into the lowermost portion of the container to permit substantial removal of the entire contents of the container.

Abstract: A finger-operated spray pump assembly including a tank, a primary piston slidably fitted inside the tank, a secondary piston slidably fitted inside the primary piston, and a spring fitted inside the primary piston and on the outside of the secondary piston for biasing the primary piston away from the secondary piston.

Abstract: A harness cable connector is shown which receives a plurality of insulated wires by a press fit for retaining the wires in a spaced configuration during insertion and assembly of the wires in a printed circuit board. The cable connector is then rolled and locked into the printed circuit board to provide strain relief for the harness cable.
