  • Patent number: 6194662
Abstract: An adjustable cover for outdoor electrical substations is disclosed. The traditional metal cover for these installations is capped with length adjustable fiberglass reinforced plastic cover pieces. The cover pieces slide over one another in an interlocking relationship to accommodate the top surfaces of a variety of existing electrical substations. Once in place the covers are maintained in the same interlocking plane to the top surface of the substation with their cooperating flanges insuring positive prevention of weather related water damage to sensitive electrical components. End caps further enhance the degree of water damage protection.

  • Patent number: 5336097
Abstract: An electrical power distribution system is provided with an elongate track and a plurality of power tap assemblies that are engageable with the track. The power tap assemblies may be moved to any desired location along the track. Power may be fed into the track through one of the assemblies and taken out of the track through another of the assemblies. Receptacles may be mounted to one or more of the power tap assemblies. A latch system can hold the power tap assemblies in (1) a fully inserted, electrically engaging orientation and (2) an electrically disconnected orientation wherein the components are still supported on the track. The components employ spring terminals which establish electrical contact through a surface-to-surface butt engagement with a conducting member. Mechanical key systems are provided for preventing improper mounting of the components on the track and for preventing the connection of more than one power in-feed to the track.

  • Patent number: 4271953
Abstract: An automatic feeding hopper employs a reservoir for storing disk-like objects in a plurality of substantially horizontal rows in a substantially vertical plane. A conveyor adjoins the reservoir for engagement with a substantial portion of the lowermost row of disk-like objects in the reservoir to remove the disk-like objects from the reservoir, an exit chute is positioned adjacent the conveyor to receive the disk-like objects in a single row, and a deflecting member is positioned near the entrance to the exit chute to guide and maintain the flow of disk-like objects in a single row from the conveyor into the exit chute. The deflecting member has an upper concavely curved surface intersected by a lower curved surface which leads into a side of the exit chute, the curved surfaces meeting at an edge located a distance above the surface of the conveyor slightly more than the diameter of a disk-like object.

  • Patent number: 4102728
Abstract: Apparatus for applying preprinted tubular labels or bands about the exterior of non-rigid walled containers is disclosed; the labels being made of flexible plastic and supplied from an elongated tube in a collapsed or flattened state stored in a roll supply thereof. The apparatus includes means for automatically positioning individual unlabeled containers at a labeling station and for removing labeled containers therefrom. First gripper means are provided for advancing one end of the label supply over a guide horn for opening a leading label to the general transverse configuration of the container, and for cooperation with second gripper means in detaching individual opened labels from the supply roll while advancing the opened label over the container's exterior and releasing the same at a desired location thereabout.
