    Abstract: Systems and methods for carrying a weapon are described herein. While such systems and methods can include any suitable component, in some cases, they include a shoulder strap that is configured to attach at a shoulder portion of an upper torso garment. In some cases, the shoulder strap includes an attachment mechanism that is configured to attach the shoulder strap to the shoulder portion of the upper torso garment. In some cases, a weapon attachment, such as a D-ring and/or a lanyard is attached to the shoulder strap so as to be disposed on an anterior portion of the shoulder strap when the shoulder strap is worn by a user. In some cases, the shoulder strap is configured to retain a weapon (such as an assault rifle) in a state of near readiness. Other implementations are described.
