  • Patent number: 10160582
Abstract: A package integrity feature for a recloseable package is provided. The recloseable package may be made from a laminate film and may comprise a scored inner layer having a machine direction and a scored outer layer laminated together with both permanent adhesive and pressure sensitive adhesive to form a recloseable flap that covers an opening in a package body. The package integrity feature may be a strip of material cut into the inner layer of the laminate film in such a way that the strip breaks when the package is opened, leaving one end of the strip attached to the package body and the opposite end attached to the recloseable flap.

  • Patent number: 9718585
Abstract: A reclosable package is described that includes a package integrity feature defined by an inner film layer of the package. The package integrity feature includes a first die cut portion and a second die cut portion that both extend from a main die cut portion at least partially defining the opening of the package. The first and second die cut portions are continuous with each other and with the main die cut portion, such that they are defined by a single cut line. In some cases, the package integrity feature includes a neck region that tears when the package is opened and an anchor region that resists delamination. Because the first and second die cut portions are continuously formed with each other, the anchor region may have a circular or elliptical shape and is, thus, easier and more consistently manufactured, allowing for better performance.

  • Publication number: 20100323134
Abstract: The present invention is a laminate and resultant package expressing an aroma burst. The laminate or package is comprised of a polyolefin sealing layer; a pressure sensitive adhesive layer and microcapsules containing an active core material, the microcapsules dispersed in a resealably tacky pressure sensitive adhesive layer; the pressure sensitive adhesive sandwiched between at least two layers by being disposed along substantially an entire surface of the polyolefin sealing layer and in continuous and direct contact with a second polyolefin layer opposing and coextensive with the polyolefin sealing layer; and the microcapsules in the pressure sensitive adhesive layer having less tensile strength than the adhesive such that a fraction of the microcapsules rupture releasing core material such as an aroma or fragrance when the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is separated when the polyethylene and first polyolefin layers sandwiching the pressure sensitive adhesive are pulled apart.

  • Publication number: 20070004992
Abstract: An air pulse generator includes a housing having a front wall and a back wall defining an interior region and a shell having a front portion and a back portion defining an air chamber. The front wall of the housing has first and second air openings. The front portion of the shell has first and second air ports in communication with the air chamber. The first and second air ports are aligned with the first and second air openings when the shell is mounted within the interior region of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20050225224
Abstract: There is described, for example, a generally cylindrical generator of energetic electrons that releases electrons from a vacuum enclosure into a surrounding space including into the atmosphere where the electrons may be used for a variety of applications including clean up of a flowing gas stream. Described is an efficient electron generator that emits more beam power than past structures in this class of devices and does so in connection with the treatment of gases or surfaces requiring treatment.

  • Publication number: 20050054956
Abstract: An improved connector having limited durability for a disposable chest compression vest is quiet and cost effective. Among other advantages, the connector is heat sterilizable and flat so that the vest can be efficiently packaged and stacked, which is particularly beneficial for use in a hospital.
