  • Publication number: 20240094870
Abstract: Various aspects and embodiments are directed to a streamlined computer device and a graphical user interface that organizes interface elements into views of computer content for presentation to a user. Various views of digital media content permits users to easily and efficiently access various digital media content. Different views are used to provide an interface that is responsive to configurations of the device and responsive to activity being performed by the user. Aspects include permitting the user to maintain and manage digital media content libraries. According to some embodiments, the libraries comprise user digital media content and references digital media content. Functionality provided to a user can be tailored to the type of content displayed, accessed and/or managed. According to various aspects, methods and systems are provided for accessing and managing digital media libraries on a streamlined computing device with a plurality selectable I/O profiles.

  • Patent number: 7774861
Abstract: A non-fabric head or body band is made from compressed cellulose pop-up sponge material for cooling the wearer. The band comprises a reversible strip of pop-up sponge material in which one or more holes or passageways are formed, the ends of which are connected by an elastic band. The band is wetted causing the pop-up sponge material to expand, such that the inner and outer surfaces are approximately ?th of an inch apart, between which is held a supply of water/liquid. The inner surface is substantially in contact with the wearer, while the outer surface is exposed to the elements. During the cooling process, the strip draws heat and/or sweat away from the user, into the cellulose material, and toward the outer surface of the strip, allowing relatively rapid evaporation of sweat and dissipation of heat from the cellulose material as it is cooled from exposure to the elements.

  • Patent number: 5511401
Abstract: A combination lock/deadbolt assembly connection technique is disclosed for connecting the bolt of the combination lock to the deadbolt of the deadbolt assembly to provide a lost motion connection while at the same time to retain the ability to position a magnetic anti-attack interlock within the bolt of the combination lock. A connecting shaft is disposed between the bolt and the deadbolt and a spring bias force introduced between the two bolts. The shaft may be attached rigidly at one end to either the lock bolt or deadbolt. The opposite end is loosely attached by retaining rings or retaining rings to accommodate the movement of the loosely attached bolt with respect to the shaft thereby providing a lost motion connection. A compression spring is disposed intermediate to the lock bolt and the deadbolt to provide a separating or extending force.

  • Patent number: 4373718
Abstract: A flexible, elongated handle-wrapping strip for tennis racquets, bicycle handlebars, baseball bats, fishing poles, or any other desired use which comprises a first layer of a composite of cork granules, the cork granules being plasticized with a liquid organic polyol and bonded to each other in a flexible plastic binder material. A second layer of contact adhesive is provided on one side of the first layer, while a third, peel-sheet layer overlies the contact adhesive layer for peeling away, to expose the contact adhesive layer for use. The handle-wrapping strip may be helically wound with the parallel edges of adjacent coils being in contact with each other. The adhesive layer is in the form of a flexible plastic sheet coated on both sides with an adhesive. The first layer includes 40 parts by weight of the cork granules plasticized with 3 to 20 parts by weight of the liquid polyol. The wrapping strip may also include a plastic layer of 0.01 to 0.05 inch thickness between the layer of cork and the adhesive.
