  • Patent number: 4700258
Abstract: A lightening arrestor system (30) for a pad mounted distribution transformer (18') incorporated in an underground loop distribution circuit has a lighting arrester (32) secured to the transformer parking stand (P) and attached to the pad ground connection. The arrester has a well (38) into which a cable elbow (A) formerly mounted upon a primary terminal bushing (H1B) is inserted. The arrester includes a varistor assembly including metal oxide disks (58). An elbow arrester (24') is mounted upon the terminal bushing which formerly mounted the cable elbow. The arrester obviates the employment of a feed-through device (28).

  • Patent number: 4611093
Abstract: An electrical bushing includes a replaceable stud which connects the electrical bushing which is mounted on the housing for an electrial distribution unit to electrical equipment located outside the housing. The replaceable stud includes a first stud shank connectable to a conductor within the body of the electrical bushing and which is stronger than a second stud shank connectable to the electrical equipment located outside the housing. The replaceable stud, if damaged, can be removed from the bushing body without otherwise disturbing the bushing body or any connections between the electrical bushing and equipment positioned inside the housing.

  • Patent number: 4105331
Abstract: An apparatus and method to position a moving continuous strip master and a moving continuous strip duplicate for copying film images from the master to the duplicate. A vacuum is applied to a housing, the walls of which are partially formed by surfaces of longitudinally extending adjacent rollers. The master and duplicate are inserted through adjacent roller pairs and both sides exposed to a vacuum within the housing. The master and duplicate are removed from the housing with confronting surfaces in contact through a third adjacent roller pair. As a result of the vacuum created between the confronting strip surfaces and atmospheric pressure on opposite strip surfaces the relative position of the master to the duplicate is maintained until exposure to a light source is complete.
