Abstract: A snap on strand assembly comprising a molded plastic body and a connecting strand molded in situ in said plastic body. The plastic body includes a cylindrical opening which closely engages a complementary cylindrical portion on a connector element which has a head spaced from the cylindrical portion. The plastic body further includes a frustoconical portion extending axially therefrom and a diametral slot dividing the frustoconical portion into two portions that snap below the head of the connector element. Radial tabs extend from the frustoconical portions to facilitate insertion of a tool for expanding the two portions to remove the body from the connector element.

Abstract: A fuel filler door release system comprising a spring loaded fuel filler door, a latch normally holding the door closed, and a fuel filler door release device including a first strand connected at one end to a remote manually operated lever and releasably connected at the other end to a spring loaded plunger of the release device. A second strand is releasably connected to the plunger and extends to the latch of the fuel filler door. A third strand is connected to the plunger and extends to a pull tab within the vehicle for providing auxiliary release for the fuel filler door.

Abstract: A transmission and brake interlock system comprising a lock member mounted for movement with the transmission shift lever on the transmission and an interlock between the brake pedal of the automotive vehicle and the lock member operable to prevent movement of the lock member and shifting of the transmission out of park position. When the brake pedal is depressed, the lock member is permitted to move and in turn the transmission lever to move to shift out of park position.
