Abstract: A method for creating a weldment inspection document for identifying a plurality of weldment zones in a part accesses a representation of the part and selects weld zones in the representation of the part. The weld zones are marked with indicia concerning the location of and other information regarding weldments in the weld zone. A plurality of these representations are stored in a document depicting a weldment inspection sequence for the part.

Abstract: Method of operating a heap leach for leaching uranium and vanadium from a uranium-vanadium bearing ore formed into a relatively tall heap from a mixture of coarsely crushed ore and concentrated sulfuric acid which involves leaching the heap in sections with each section leached in multiple cycles following a predetermined procedure in which the heap is first leached with dilute acid followed by a strong acid application. The product effluent from the strong acid application is recycled a multiple number of times and advanced to the next section. Each section is then washed with fresh water.

Abstract: A cased water well comprising a generally tubular water well casing extending from subgrade to above grade. A flexible pad is attached to the water well casing for preventing aquifier contamination. The pad has an upwardly extending, generally tubular, flexible and water impermeable neck which is circumferentially continuous. The neck has an axially disposed opening which is adapted to be removably received over the upper terminus of the well casing and the neck is compressibly and sealingly attached to the outer surface of the well casing. A water impermeable flexible skirt is sealingly attached to the neck and extends radially outwardly a substantial distance in all directions from the neck. The flexible skirt has a lower surface which is adapted to be in contact with the earth and an upper surface which slopes continuously downwardly and outwardly from the neck to the outermost edges of the skirt.

Abstract: Vanadium is recovered from vanadium-containing ores that have been roasted in the presence of a sodium source through heap leaching with an aqueous leaching solution so that high grade leach liquors can be obtained.

Abstract: Method of electrodepositing manganese metal from a manganese metal electrolyte which contains small quantities of sulfur dioxide, selenium and a polyacrylamide compound. The electrodeposited manganese is smoother and exhibits less "treeing", i.e. dendritic growths and high current efficiencies are achieved.

Abstract: Oxidation of ferrophosphorous in an oxidizing environment wherein molten ferrophosphorous is continuously contacted with a surface of oxidized ferrophosphorous.
