  • Patent number: 8756705
Abstract: Systems and methods for personalized security management of online applications are provided. A determination may be made that a condition for constructing an increased authentication proposal for access to an online financial service is satisfied. The increased authentication proposal may be associated with (i) a user of the online financial service and (ii) a user request option associated with the online financial service. Based upon the determination that the condition is satisfied, the increased authentication proposal may be generated and transmitted for presentation to the user. An increased authentication proposal response may then be received, and the increased authentication proposal response may be processed in order to store, in association with the user and the user request option, (i) an indication of an increased authentication condition and (ii) an indication of an increased authentication mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20100100462
Abstract: A system and method for determining and displaying a payment lead time or expected payment delivery time in an electronic payment system is disclosed. A payee associated with a payor is identified. Prior to receiving a payment request to pay the payee on behalf of the payor, an expected payment delivery time for a payment to fulfill the payment request is determined. The expected payment delivery time is based on at least one payment attribute associated with the payee and at least one payment attribute associated with the payor. An interface screen is then generated for displaying the determined expected payment delivery time.

  • Patent number: 7660766
Abstract: A technique for making a payment to a payee on behalf of a payor is provided. A payment service provider receives a payment request from a payor requesting the service provider to make a payment to a payee on behalf of the payor. The service provider then transmits pre-posting information to the payee prior to making the payment. The pre-posting information informs the payee that the service provider will be making a payment to the payee on behalf of the payor. Whenever the service provider makes the payment to the payee, the service provider also issues remittance advice associated with the payment to the payee.

  • Patent number: 7395319
Abstract: A technique for accessing an electronic commerce function (ECF) is provided. A first signal identifying an entity and an ECF associated with the entity is transmitted to a user from a contact list service. The user selects the ECF, causing a second signal indicating the selection to be transmitted to the contact list service. In response to receipt of the second signal, the contact list service transmits a third signal. The third signal identifies a network address associated with an electronic commerce service provider for providing and/or facilitating the ECF. The third signal also identifies information associated with the entity. The third signal, either directly or indirectly, is operable to cause a fourth signal to be transmitted to the user from the service provider. The fourth signal includes information associated with invoking the ECF and is based upon the information associated with the entity included in the third signal.
