Abstract: A drain protector having a flexible adsorbent pad, a raised insert, and a cover is described. The pad and the insert each includes aligned apertures. The raised insert is positioned over the flexible adsorbent pad or within the aperture of the flexible adsorbent pad. The cover is connected to the flexible adsorbent pad, a raised insert, forming a space over the insert. The drain protector is made from adsorbent material for blocking sediment, collecting contaminants and filtering water into a drain. The cover of the drain protector reinforces the sheet and insert to protect against damage from traffic over the drain protector.

Abstract: A system, method for forming, and a method of manufacturing a boom for the containment of contaminants is disclosed. The boom includes a cover and an adsorbent or absorbent material disposed within the cover. The adsorbent or absorbent material may be formed of one or more sheets of flexible fabric folded upon itself to form a convoluted structure within the elongated cover. Additionally, the material disposed within the elongated cover may form a non-cylindrical cross-section. The material may be at least partially a polyester material.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a packaging or shipping pouch having cushioning and absorbent material located therein. The pouch of this invention has an outer bag which has a closed lower end and an open, sealable upper end. Inside the outer bag is located a fabric inner bag having a closed lower end and an open upper end, the fabric inner bag is attached to the outer bag near the upper end of both bags. The outer bag additionally contains a cushioning and absorbent material. The fabric inner bag is movably contained within the cushioning and absorbent material of the outer bag.

Abstract: An oil absorbing member and method are provided including an elongate tubular member filled with a highly absorbent particulate material of capillary nature having a wicking action and closed at each end which can be arranged around a machine tool base as a continuous absorbing member.
