  • Patent number: 5507324
Abstract: A fuel filling assembly for liquid fuel tanks, especially on boats or the like, includes a fill tube adapted for mounting through a deck and a closure cap preferably hinged over the fill tube opening for selective opening and closing. Preferably, a positioning member allows the closure cap to be mounted in various positions with respect to the fill tube to accommodate various mounting locations on a boat. The fill tube may be angled or straight to further accommodate varied mounting positions. In one version, a separate vent tube joins the fill tube to provide continuous fuel tank venting, pressure equalization and return of fuel overflow to the fuel tank in case of tank overfill. In the vented version, a rigid shield on the closure cap extends over the opening to a vent passageway through the cap to restrict the escape of liquid fuel in the event of fuel surge due to extreme boat movements or the like when the closure cap is closed.

  • Patent number: 5141706
Abstract: An air purification unit including a housing of substantially rectangular solid configuration and having an inlet and an outlet, a diagonal partition in the housing dividing it into substantially equal inlet and outlet chambers, first filters in communication with the inlet chamber for removing gases and particulate matter entering the inlet chamber, second filters in communication with the outlet chamber for removing submicron particles, and a specialized motorized impeller mounted on the diagonal partition for moving air from the inlet chamber to the outlet chamber, the motorized impeller including a stationary inlet ring secured to the partition, a stationary motor housing portion fixed relative to the partition and a rotatable motor housing portion carrying a backwardly rotatable impeller wheel for drawing air through the center of the impeller wheel as it rotates and forcing it radially outwardly through the impeller wheel to thereby pressurize air in the outlet chamber.

  • Patent number: 4456042
Abstract: A planer of the type adapted to be mounted on and driven by a multipurpose woodworking tool includes a housing, a rotating blade member, and a table mounted beneath the blade member and vertically displaceable relative thereto by a plurality of jack screws. The jack screws carry connector nuts having outer members attached to the table which allow relative sideward movement between the table and screws to minimize table binding. A chain drive engages the jack screws and includes an idler sprocket which can be adjusted to allow adjustment of an individual jack screw to level the table. First and second roller assemblies upstream and downstream of the blade member are rotatably mounted on the housing and are vertically displaceable; the roller assemblies are driven by a single, fixed drive sprocket which is capable of rotating the rollers throughout a range of vertical displacement.

  • Patent number: 4231021
Abstract: An address data converter for converting binary row address information and binary column address information corresponding to data character display locations of a CRT display device having a row/column display field to binary absolute address information. The address A of a given character display location in a typical display field including a plurality of rows each having 80 character display locations can be represented byA=C.sub.A +80R.sub.A,where C.sub.A is the column address of the display location and R.sub.A is the row address. Since the number 80 in the above expression cannot be represented by an integral power of two, it is ordinarily necessary to provide more than 80, for example, 128, character storage locations in memory for each display row of the CRT display device. In accordance with the present invention it has been recognized that the above expression can also be represented byA=C.sub.A +16R.sub.A +64R.sub.A,in which the number 16 and 64 can be represented by integral powers of two.
