  • Patent number: 11089137
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a computer-implemented method of for data transfer. The method includes a processor detecting a characteristic of a stream of data transferring from a first computing device to a second computing device using a first input/output I/O protocol. The processor detects a change in the characteristic of the data transfer. In response to detecting the change the first I/O protocol in mid-stream, to a second I/O protocol, wherein the data in the stream is reformed to comport with the second I/O protocol, and wherein the change is in response to the change in the characteristic.

  • Patent number: 8495086
Abstract: Distinguishing the background musical soundtrack from a secondary musical soundtrack of a licensed musical recording; mapping a sequential pattern of background musical fingerprints for the background musical soundtrack of the licensed recording; mapping a sequential pattern of secondary musical fingerprints for the secondary musical soundtrack of the licensed recording; and storing the background musical fingerprint patterns and the secondary musical fingerprint patterns in a database of licensed musical recordings.

  • Publication number: 20120117385
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to message based encryption and authentication to support secure communication of a message. A time stamp embedded within the message is evaluated to ensure that a received message has not been subject to a significant time delay. More specifically, tools are employed to evaluate the authenticity of the message subject to the characteristics of the embedded time stamp. A message subject to a time delay is considered to be tainted and is not authenticated for receipt by a target device.

  • Publication number: 20120109893
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for logging operations for a database. An operation event module detects an operation on a record in a database table. A translation module creates a changed field bit field, one or more operation time bit fields, and a user bit field. The translation module creates the changed field bit field by encoding indicators of one or more fields of the record that the operation is configured to change, creates the one or more operation time bit fields by encoding time information for the operation, and creates the user bit field by encoding information of a user associated with the operation. A consolidation module packs at least the changed field bit field, the one or more operation time bit fields, and the user bit field into a single bit array. A log module stores the bit array in a change log.
