  • Patent number: 5441064
Abstract: An umbrella is provided a pair of legging-storage pockets on diametrically opposite sides of the center of the umbrella canopy to aid in balancing the weight of the pockets and their contents on opposite sides of the canopy center. Each of the pockets has a closeable entry opening communicating with the pocket interior and through which opening a legging body can be passed into and out of the pocket interior. Each of the tubular bodies has an open bottom with a loop-forming stirrup adapted to loop around one of the user's shoes and be pulled adjacent to the heel of the user's shoe, where it makes little or no contact with the ground to minimize wear thereof.
