  • Publication number: 20070245512
Abstract: A vacuum truck includes a self-propelled vehicle, a storage tank, a vacuum source, a laterally-shiftable scraper, and a pullback scraper. Suction lines connect a collection area of the scrapers to the storage tank and to the vacuum source. The exhaust from the vacuum system heats the collection area and the suction line to prevent plugging by the cold vacuumed material. The vehicle's engine exhaust can also be controlled to serve as a second heat source that can be used. A fluffer comprises a rake pivoted to the scraper is extendable for fluffing bedding while performing the vacuuming operation. The truck includes a front discharge opening and auger for emptying the tank. The driver's cabin is in front and has high and low windows, such that all vehicle operations are easily seen.

  • Publication number: 20060243463
Abstract: An implement for mounting on a working vehicle includes a frame with side supports. A rotatable implement head includes a cross tube supported for rotation between the side supports. The drive assembly is positioned partially within the cavity in a protected position, such that it extends minimally outwardly, allowing the head to closely engage obstacles without interference from the motor. A motor mount also includes a tubular flange protecting the motor. A non-circular motor-driven tubular drive member extends telescopingly into a driven member attached to and located within the cross tube. A plastic coupler fits between the driven member and the drive member to take up clearance therebetween. The arrangement can be used on different implement heads, such as an angularly-adjustable power-sweeper/brush, a tined rake/ground-preparing cultivator, and/or a silage facer movable vertically across the face of a bucket.

  • Patent number: 4819349
Abstract: An attachment scraper assembly for clearing offal and the like from barns. A bracket assembly is connected to a scraper element that is formed from a vehicle tire. To affix the scraper assembly to the bucket of a front end loader, the operator inserts the lower wall of the bucket under an elevated, downwardly facing and rearwardly, downwardly sloping support surface of the bracket assembly. The scraper assembly will be firmly suspended between the support surface and a rear edge of the scraper element when the bucket is raised. The scraper assembly may thus be attached to, and detached from, a bucket without requiring the operator to dismount the front end loader.
