  • Patent number: 5589028
Abstract: A hot melt adhesive tie layer polymer blend for firmly adhering polyethylene to fluropolymers is disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 30, 1995
Date of Patent: December 31, 1996
Assignee: Elf Atochem North America, Inc.
Inventors: Donald N. Robinson, John H. Peltz
  • Patent number: 4384047
Abstract: Vinylidene fluoride polymer ultrafiltration membranes are prepared by casting a sheet of said polymer dissolved in a mixture of a specified solvent and a specified non-solvent, on a smooth substrate, evaporating a portion of the solvent from the sheet, immersing said sheet in a gelation liquid therefore, and optionally, stabilizing the gelled sheet by heat treatment thereof. A porous vinylidene fluoride polymer membrane having smooth, unwrinkled surfaces can be prepared in accordance with the above described process without restraining the membrane during the evaporation and gelation steps by utilizing triethyl phosphate as the solvent.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 22, 1982
Date of Patent: May 17, 1983
    Assignee: Pennwalt Corporation
Inventors: William D. Benzinger, Donald N. Robinson
  • Patent number: 4328151
Abstract: Low shrinkage, mechanically strong, acid stable, carbon fiber reinforced poly(vinylidene fluoride) resin compositions are prepared by extrusion blending carbon fibers, which have been precoated with poly(vinylidene fluoride), with a poly(vinylidene fluoride) resin.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 3, 1981
Date of Patent: May 4, 1982
    Assignee: Pennwalt Corporation
