  • Patent number: 7257113
Abstract: An advanced SONET add/drop multiplexer capable of supporting packet over SONET and multiprotocol label switching. The add/drop multiplexer is capable of adding and/or dropping both STM and packet traffic, such as Internet Protocol traffic. This SONET add/drop multiplexer allows Internet Protocol streams which are added or dropped at different nodes to be carried over the same SONET path in a network, thereby greatly saving bandwidth.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 4, 2002
Date of Patent: August 14, 2007
    Assignee: Fujitsu Limited
    Inventor: Donald O'Connor
  • Publication number: 20030087677
Abstract: A power generating mechanism having a movable element is mounted to a wireless communication device. Movement of the movable element generates electricity via the power generating mechanism to allow a user to make a phone call when a battery of the device is discharged. The power generating mechanism can be a mechanical type or a piezoelectric type, and can involve a keypad, a battery cover, an antenna, a crank, or keypad cover. The wireless device can also include an auxiliary power source and a switch to active the auxiliary power source when needed, and a light adapted to illuminate when a call is being received.

  • Patent number: 6261629
Abstract: Novel water-soluble free-flowing protein-fibre products are provided from cereal grains, such as wheat, free from starch, bran and low molecular weight degradation products thereof. Starch contaminants in soluble fractions of the cereal grains are removed by enzymatic degradation and separation. The protein to fibre ratio of the product may be modified by enzymatic treatment. Such materials are useful in a wide variety of food application.
