  • Patent number: 4401273
Abstract: A low volume spray device for an irrigation system comprises upper and lower separately molded plastic members that are assembled before being installed on a fluid conduit. The two piece construction allows the upper or head member to be molded with a deflector portion having an exterior shape capable of forming a uniform spray pattern. The upper head member also has a lower tubular portion adapted to extend into the fluid conduit as well as around the lower member so that fluid pressure cannot act to separate the two members when in use.

  • Patent number: 4392616
Abstract: A drip irrigation emitter having a body with internal structure for reducing fluid pressure to provide a low pressure trickle output and an inlet member providing a passage for water to the internal structure and adapted to connect the emitter to a supply hose. The inlet member has a frusto-conical barb portion integral with a neck portion that extends between the large end of the barb portion and the emitter body. A cylindrical portion extending from the small end of the barb portion, which has at least one inlet opening, is usable as a mechanical punch to enable the emitter to be attached with one simple operation to a plastic irrigation hose or lateral without prepunching holes therein.

  • Patent number: 4275839
Abstract: A two-piece stabilizer for holding a surface hose or fluid conduit in place on the ground to prevent twisting or turning normally caused by residual stresses is disclosed. A lower base member has a central saddle portion with outwardly extending arms. A clamp member connectable with the base member by irreversible integral pins secures the base in place and prevents it from turning. Modified forms of the clamp member include a spigot portion on its bottom side for penetrating the hose to form a fluid connection and a retaining sleeve portion on its upper side to hold a riser or sprinkler device.
