Abstract: A glass container includes a sidewall circumscribing a central longitudinal axis, and including a neck finish, which includes a wall having a radially inner surface and a radially outer surface and a rim extending from the wall. The rim has a sealing lip, an outward lip, and a retention lip extending between the outward lip and the radially outer surface of the wall. A ratio of a radial thickness of the rim at a major outer diameter of the outward lip of the rim to a radial thickness of the neck finish wall below the rim and between the radially inner and outer surfaces is between 1.9:1 and 2.2:1. A package includes the glass container and a ring pull cap closure coupled to the rim.

Abstract: A method of making a container preform includes providing a mold core having at least one surface recess in the form of negative-mold indicia, and molding a preform around the core such that the preform has internal raised indicia formed by the at least one recess in the core. The preform preferably subsequently is blow-molded to form a container having the raised indicia on an inside surface of the container. This raised indicia on the inside surface of the container may be viewed from outside of the container to confirm that the container is genuine. In accordance with various embodiments of the disclosure, the raised internal indicia may be on the bottom wall, sidewall, shoulder and/or neck of the container.

Abstract: A dual-action child-resistant package includes a container having a neck finish with an open mouth, at least one external thread segment, and at least one external lug spaced from the thread segment and having an angled cam surface facing axially toward the open mouth. A closure has a peripheral skirt, at least one internal thread segment for engagement with the external thread segment on the container neck finish, an internal angled cam surface on the skirt, at least one internal lug on the skirt for engagement with the external lug on the neck finish, and a flexible resilient spring for engaging the neck finish and biasing the closure away from the neck finish. The closure is threaded onto the neck finish until the internal lug on the skirt moves over the external lug on the neck finish to resist unthreading of the closure from the neck finish.
