  • Patent number: 4858698
Abstract: A weight transfer linkage arrangement for connection between the three-point hitch of a tractor, a tool bar carrying agricultural implements and a hitch. The linkage arrangement includes a first parallel linkage connecting the tool bar and the hitch and a second parallel linkage connecting the three-point hitch of the tractor and the tool bar. The first and second linkages are both adaptable to be moved between corresponding cooperative lowered and raised positions, such that the tool bar may be raised and lowered without raising and lowering the hitch. Force applying means are connected to the first linkage to apply downpressure on the tool bar when the linkage arrangement is in a lowered position.

  • Patent number: 4796550
Abstract: A conservation tillage attachment for a seed planting unit that functions to cut and clear away prior crop residue, fracture the soil ahead of the seed trench opener, and form a trench for the deposit of dry or liquid fertilizer offset from and parallel to the later formed seed trench. The attachment includes a single disk blade disposed forward of the seed trench forming unit. The single disk blade is disposed at an angle of approximately 5.degree. from the line defining the direction of travel of the seed planting implement. The attachment includes a selectively adjustable down force structure and a selectively adjustable depth control mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4244522
Abstract: Apparatus for storing and distributing a liquid from a mobile agricultural implement is provided. The apparatus includes an improved vent structure carried in the upper portion of fluid storage tanks supported on the implement, with the vent structure being self-sealing as the tanks become full or fluid sloshes within the tank during operations. A plurality of tanks are supported across the width of the implement and interconnected with one another by common hoses to simplify filling operations from a common supply source. A manual valve is provided between the lines and tanks on each side of the implement to prevent fluid transfer between tanks as the implement is moved over uneven ground and a split manifold pump receives fluid equally from each side of the implement to assume equal fluid weight distribution across the implement as the fluid is distributed.
