  • Patent number: 11548069
Abstract: A 3D printer successively fuses sheet material in a stack to form a three-dimensional object. The sheet material may provide a mesh separating islands of material that will be fused to produce the desired three-dimensional object. The mesh provides support for the island material during the fusing process and may be removed afterwards.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 20, 2019
Date of Patent: January 10, 2023
    Assignee: Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation
Inventors: Thomas Rockwell Mackie, Brandon Joseph Walker, Nathan Donald Schumacher
  • Publication number: 20220410275
Abstract: High-throughput printing, possible with multiple electron beams, is facilitated by a continuous powder bed preparation process operating in parallel to apply and pre-sinter the powder along a continuous helical path. The sintered powder may be self-supporting to allow unconstrained expansion in the radial direction when high energy is used for powder fusion.

  • Patent number: 9270904
Abstract: An X-ray imaging system is provided. The X-ray imaging system includes an X-ray radiation source. The X-ray imaging system also includes a source controller coupled to the source and configured to command emission of X-rays for image exposures. The X-ray imaging system further includes a digital X-ray detector configured to acquire X-ray image data without communication from the source controller, wherein the digital X-ray detector includes a photovoltaic device, and the digital X-ray detector is configured to determine one or more of a beginning, end, or duration of an image exposure via the photovoltaic device.

  • Publication number: 20070264138
Abstract: A pressure sprayer includes an accumulator vessel adapted to hold a pressurized fluid therein and a container that is configured to hold a chemical concentrate. A motor in fluid communication with the accumulator vessel and the container is adapted to be driven by the pressurized fluid and to pump the pressurized fluid and the chemical concentrate. A chamber is adapted to receive the chemical concentrate and the pressurized fluid from the motor to form a chemical solution. A nozzle is in fluid communication with the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20060265944
Abstract: Bait stations are provided which present the ability to monitor bait and expand capacity of bait without materially adversely affecting feeding activity. In one form a slow acting toxicant-laced attractant is provided in the station. The station has an outer housing, an openable opaque lid, and a transparent window moveable relative to both the lid and housing. One can move the lid while leaving the window in place, or move both the lid and window. Removal of both permits attachment of a second such housing to the first, while the first remains in place. The lid and window can then be affixed to the second housing. These stations can be used to control termites and other crawling pests.

  • Publication number: 20050252074
Abstract: A dual bait toxicant station includes a wick that can be moved to access a liquid reservoir, thereby activating the liquid feeding portion of the station. The wick can be selectively forced downward into the reservoir by activation of a lid which can have a bi-stable portion. The station may have a pie wedge-shaped top view, with multiple entrances along an arc portion of the station side.
