  • Publication number: 20110278253
Abstract: There is a resealable closure for plastic containers of a type having a mouth (7) formed with an inner neck bore (8) and spaced apart neck stubs (9) arranged around the outside of the neck. The closure in one position of use has a top panel (1), a peripheral downwardly extending skirt (2) with inwardly directed locking lugs (3) and an inner spigot seal (4) dimensioned for an interference fit into said neck bore (8). The closure is adapted to removably seal the container by push fitting the spigot seal (4) into engagement with said neck bore and subsequently locking the closure by rotation to a position where the locking lugs (3) align under the neck stubs (9).

  • Patent number: 6679403
Abstract: A dispensing device for dispensing liquid from a container, the dispensing device including a main body which includes an end wall having an internal side face directed towards the interior of the container and an external side face, a dispensing outlet, and a closure moveable relative to the main body between open and closed positions to selectively open and close the dispensing outlet, a chamber between the external side face and the dispensing outlet, a liquid transfer port in the main body for permitting liquid flow from the container interior to the chamber and a breather port in the main body providing communication between the container interior and the chamber, the liquid transfer port and the breather port being spaced apart from one another so as to form a static head therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6041953
Abstract: A container and a removable closure, the container having an outlet with an inner and outer surface terminating at one end in a rim. The closure includes an end wall with an inner and outer skirt extending therefrom, the inner and outer skirts defining between them a slot which when the closure is applied to the container receives the container rim. The inner skirt includes a sealing section, and a deflecting section in the region of the free end of the inner skirt. The cross-sectional areas of the region and the cross-sectional area of the inner surface of the outlet being such that when the closure is applied to the container the deflecting section of the inner skirt engages the inner surface of the outlet to force the inner surface of the outlet adjacent the rim into sealing engagement with the sealing zone to seal the closure to the container.
