  • Patent number: 9997267
Abstract: Target assemblies are provided that can include a uranium-comprising annulus. The assemblies can include target material consisting essentially of non-uranium material within the volume of the annulus. Reactors are disclosed that can include one or more discrete zones configured to receive target material. At least one uranium-comprising annulus can be within one or more of the zones. Methods for producing isotopes within target material are also disclosed, with the methods including providing neutrons to target material within a uranium-comprising annulus. Methods for modifying materials within target material are disclosed as well as are methods for characterizing material within a target material.

Inventors: James J. Toth, Donald Wall, Richard S. Wittman, Bruce D. Pierson, Lawrence R. Greenwood
  • Patent number: 9598607
Abstract: This invention is related to compositions that can be used to protect surfaces, such as those found on bowling lanes (both synthetic and wood). The compositions are low viscosity and contain little to no VOCs (volatile organic compounds). In one embodiment, the flowable compositions are 100% solids, while in another embodiment, they are solvent-borne compositions that only include VOC-exempt solvents. Regardless of the embodiment, the compositions can be cured via UV LED light to yield scratch, abrasion, and impact resistant coatings.

  • Patent number: 7326674
Abstract: New cleaning compositions and methods of forming and using those compositions are provided. In a preferred embodiment, the compositions are in tablet form, with the tablets being dissolvable in water at the point-of-use for ease of storing and shipping. The compositions comprise sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, an alkali metal alkylbenzene sulfonate, an ingredient selected from the group consisting of a trialkyl glycol monoalkyl ether, limonene, and mixtures thereof, and other ingredients depending upon the embodiment. The diluted cleaner has a very low impact on the environment due to the low levels of surfactants in the diluted solution. Furthermore, the cleaning solution performs well on protein stains due to the production of CO2 and the presence of sodium perborate. The inventive composition can be used on a wide range of substrates, from hard surfaces to fabrics.

  • Publication number: 20050176255
Abstract: A multilayer ceramic repair process which provides a new electrical repair path to connect top surface vias. The repair path is established between a defective net and a redundant repair net contained within the multilayer ceramic substrate. The defective net and the repair net each terminate at surface vias of the substrate. A laser is used to form post fired circuitry on and in the substrate. This is followed by the electrical isolation of the defective net from the electrical repair structure and passivation of the electrical repair line.
