  • Publication number: 20150183424
Abstract: A technique for controlling engine starting while shifting a hybrid vehicle is provided that minimizes fuel consumption of the engine by determining an improved engine starting time and drivability when a current operating state of the hybrid vehicle requests a kick down shift required to start the engine and coupling of the engine clutch. In particular, the technique controls engine starting while shifting a hybrid vehicle by employing an information detector configured to detect a current operating state of the hybrid electric vehicle, and a controller configured to control an operation of a transmission, a motor, an engine, and an engine clutch based on output signals from the operating information detector.

  • Publication number: 20150149030
Abstract: An offset correction method for an automobile oil pressure sensor determines whether or not an engine start signal is applied. An offset value of the oil pressure sensor installed on an oil pressure line connected to an oil pump is detected within a first preset period after the start signal is applied. An output value of the oil pressure sensor is corrected after the offset value is detected.

  • Patent number: 8744717
Abstract: Disclosed is a technique for inducing economic driving for a vehicle. In particular, a control unit calculates a driving resistance of a vehicle based on a current rolling friction, air resistance, and a road grade of the vehicle. The an amount of air-conditioning energy consumed by the vehicle is calculated by the control unit, and in response the calculated driving resistance and air-conditioning energy are substituted into a data map to continuously calculate the optimal economic vehicle speed of the vehicle in real time. The optimal economic vehicle speed calculated by the control unit is then displayed to a driver via a display unit.

  • Publication number: 20140148991
Abstract: A method and a system that diagnose failure of an oil pressure sensor that senses or detects an operating oil pressure in a target device (e.g., a hydraulic clutch) using oil pressure. The method includes a controller that is configured to store an ignition off time that an ignition is turned off and detect an ignition on time that the ignition is turned on after the ignition has been turned off. In addition, the controller is configured to calculate an elapsed time from the ignition off time to the ignition on time and determine whether the elapsed time is equal to or greater than a predetermined time. When the elapsed time is equal to or greater than the predetermined time the controller is configured to diagnose oil pressure sensor failure and when the elapsed time is less than the predetermined time, stop diagnosing failure of the oil pressure sensor.
