  • Patent number: 9376995
Abstract: A fuel supply apparatus for a Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine having reduced pressure pulsation includes low and high pressure fuel pumps, connected via a fuel supply line, a pressure sensor and a pulsation relief valve installed between the pressure sensor and the high pressure fuel pump. The pulsation relief valve includes a check valve part allowing the fuel to flow in a normal direction from the low pressure fuel pump to the high pressure fuel pump but not in a reverse direction, and an orifice part which is installed substantially in parallel to the check valve part and is configured to allow the fuel to flow in both directions, wherein an amount of the fuel flowing through the orifice part is less than an amount of the fuel flowing through the check valve part in the normal direction.

  • Publication number: 20150343345
Abstract: A fuel filter for a diesel engine may include a head cover, a housing which is engaged to the head cover and accommodates a filter assembly, a body which passes through the head cover and is disposed at the center of the filter assembly, and a heater assembly which is disposed inside of the body, in which the housing is integrally engaged with an engine body, and the heater assembly selectively operates depending on a detection signal of a fuel temperature sensor provided at the engine body.

  • Publication number: 20120143475
Abstract: A fuel supply system for a Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine may include an Engine Control Unit (ECU) that sets a desired fuel pressure and controls a fuel pressure of a section from a low-pressure fuel pump to a high-pressure fuel pump in accordance with the desired fuel pressure, and a fuel pressure sensor that measures the fuel pressure of the section from the low-pressure fuel pump to the high-pressure fuel pump and supplies the measured fuel pressure to the ECU for feedback-controls of the low-pressure fuel pump. The fuel supply system may further include a fuel pump controller disposed between the ECU and the low-pressure fuel pump to control the low-pressure fuel pump. A control method of the fuel supply system may include detecting the number of revolution of the engine and the load, setting the desired fuel pressure, and feedback controlling the low-pressure pump.
