  • Publication number: 20120098782
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a touch panel sensor to detect a contact position of part of a body using changing of capacitance includes a lower transparent substrate that has a plurality of lower transparent electrodes aligned in parallel. The touch panel sensor also includes an upper transparent substrate that includes a plurality of upper transparent electrodes aligned in parallel to each other. The upper transparent electrodes cross over the lower transparent electrodes. A plurality of dummy transparent patterns may or may not be formed between the upper transparent electrodes. Further, two or more of the upper transparent electrodes are electrically connected at one or both of upper ends and lower ends to form a group. The portions of the upper transparent electrodes between the upper and lower ends in each group are separated from each other by a uniform width.
