    Abstract: Provided is a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating breast cancer including a compound derived from Dendropanax morbiferus. It was confirmed that dihydroconiferyl ferulate, a compound derived from Dendropanax morbiferus of the present disclosure, inhibited the expression of c-Myc known to be characteristically expressed in breast cancer, inhibited the mammosphere formation of breast cancer stem cells, and inhibited an EGFR signaling pathway. Accordingly, the compound inhibits the proliferation of breast cancer cells and inhibits the growth of cancer stem cells, and thus can be usefully used for prevention or treatment of breast cancer.
