Further, a BIOS device handler may use the portions of the divided storage devices to implement a storage array that provides attributes of one or more RAID levels.

Abstract: A method for managing a host controller includes transmitting a first communication signal to a first port on the host controller so that a first device coupled to the first port receives power to enter an operational state.
