In another implementation, a signal or signal structure includes an LDR section including the encoded LDR image, and an information section including the encoded information. In another implementation, the encoded LDR image and the encoded information are both decoded. The HDR image is then reconstructed based on the decoded LDR image and the decoded information.

    Abstract: Various implementations relate to depth map coding. In one method, a depth coding rate and depth distortion are determined for a coding mode. Based on the value of depth distortion, a correlation coefficient is determined between at least a portion of a video picture and a translated version of the video picture. The video picture is one or more of a video picture corresponding to the depth being coded, or a rendered video picture for a different view. A video distortion is determined based on the correlation coefficient, and is used to evaluate the coding mode. Another implementation determines a multiplier, to be used in a rate-distortion cost, based on pixel values from one or more of a video picture from a particular view or a rendered video picture for a different view.

The substantially constant viscosity of the energy curable coating composition remains at least less than about 1500 centipoise at approximately 15° C. to approximately 40° C., during recirculation, in a coating pan, and prior to application using a roll coating apparatus. The plurality of texturing particles provide a predetermined texture to a cured energy coating composition. The continuous process of applying the energy curable coating to a substrate allows the process to continuously operate until the energy curable coating composition is depleted from the container.
