Abstract: A display substrate includes a base substrate, color filter layers, a bottom supporting layer and a light-blocking and maintaining element. The base substrate includes a gate line, a data line crossing the gate line, and a switching element on the base substrate. The color filter layers are adjacent to each other on the base substrate. The bottom supporting layer is between the color filter layers adjacent to each other and on the base substrate. The light-blocking and maintaining element is between the color filter layers adjacent to each other, and on the bottom supporting layer. The light-blocking and maintaining element includes a light blocking portion, and a maintaining portion which overlaps the bottom supporting layer and protrudes from the light blocking portion.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and pixels disposed between the first and second substrates to display an image. Each pixel includes a red sub-pixel for displaying a red color, a green sub-pixel for displaying a green color, a blue sub-pixel for displaying a blue color, a yellow sub-pixel for displaying a yellow color, and a white sub-pixel for displaying a white color. The blue sub-pixel has an area substantially equal to or larger than an area of each of the red, green, yellow, and white sub-pixels.

Abstract: A display device includes a light emitting unit and a display panel including a first color filter. The light emitting unit includes a light source generating a blue light, and a light-converting part converting the blue light into a white light and emitting the white light to an exterior. The first color filter, through which the white light passes, includes a first coloring agent that absorbs about 95% to about 100% of light having wavelength of about 420 nm to about 470 nm in the white light. Thus, a color reproducibility of the display device may be improved.
